Importing Contacts

How to get your existing contacts into Ambit

Updated over a year ago

If you already have a list of contacts, you can upload the list as a .csv file and your contacts will be automatically imported into Ambit.

You can import contacts easily by going to Contacts β†’ Contacts and clicking Import on the top-right of the page.

What file format does Ambit accept?

You'll need to provide a .csv file (simple spreadsheet file) to upload your contacts.

Spreadsheet column names

Make sure the column names in your .csv file match the field keys in your workspace.

Any columns found in the file which don't match your field keys will be ignored.

However, you don't need to include every Ambit field in your .csv file. Any missing fields will just be filled with empty values.

How do I get a .csv file?

Most platforms allow you to download a .csv file containing your subscribers or contacts.

See the examples below and find your platform for detailed instructions.
