For leads who didn't come through a funnel — referrals, calls you booked elsewhere, anyone you want in your database.
Most contacts in Ambit are created automatically when someone fills out a funnel. But you can also create a contact by hand — useful for referrals from existing clients, leads who reached out through other channels, or anyone you've talked to and want to track.
Create a contact
Go to Contacts.
Choose New contact.
Fill in what you know — at minimum a name and an email. Add any custom fields that apply.
Save.
The new contact appears in your contacts list, alongside the ones captured by your funnels.
What distinguishes a manual contact
In Ambit, you can tell at a glance whether a contact was created by a funnel or added by hand. Manual contacts don't have any funnel activity history attached, because they didn't come through one.
You can still add notes, custom field values, and any other detail you'd add to a funnel-captured contact.
