Pre-written answers turn the visitor's response into clean, comparable data.
A multiple choice question is the right block whenever the answer is one of a fixed set of options. They're the workhorse of qualification: the answers map cleanly to qualification rules, and the visitor moves through them with a tap.
Add the block
In the funnel editor, add a Multiple choice block to the page. Open the block to set:
The question — the prompt your visitor reads
The answer options — one line per option
If you want the visitor to be able to select more than one option, enable multi-select on the block. Otherwise it works as a single-choice question.
Write good options
Three rules of thumb:
Make each option distinct. If two options overlap, visitors will hesitate. Hesitation costs you completed forms.
Cover the full range. Make sure there's an option that fits every realistic visitor. A missing option forces a wrong answer.
Keep options short. Each option should fit on one line. If you need a sentence to explain it, the question is doing too much.
Multiple choice in qualification
Multiple choice questions are where most of your qualification rules will land. The answers map cleanly to "this person is a fit" or "this person isn't" — far more so than free-form text.
