What is lead qualification in Ambit?

The wall between your calendar and the leads who can't actually buy from you.

Lead qualification is how Ambit figures out, before anyone reaches your booking page, whether they're the right fit for what you sell. It's the single biggest difference between a calendar full of bad calls and a calendar full of good ones.

How qualification fits into your funnel

Your funnel includes one or more qualify pages that ask the visitor a handful of questions — usually multiple choice. Their answers are saved to their contact record, and Ambit checks them against rules you set up.

Based on those rules, every visitor ends up in one of two places:

  • A qualified visitor reaches your booking page

  • A disqualified visitor reaches your disqualify page

The routing happens automatically. You don't have to look at every submission.

What qualification is actually doing for you

Three things, all valuable:

  1. Protecting your calendar. Calls with people who can't say yes cost you the time you'd otherwise spend with people who can.

  2. Setting expectations. Visitors who realize they're not a fit during qualification don't hold it against you. They appreciate the honesty.

  3. Giving you better data. Even the disqualified responses tell you something about who's clicking your ads and reading your copy.

Where to set up rules

Qualification rules live in the funnel logic settings, inside the funnel editor. See How do I set up qualification rules? for the walkthrough.
